Spread the love

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 2 kg minced meat, mixed
  • 3 rolls, old
  • Spice(s), to taste
  • 4 large onions
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ½ liters of cream or milk
  • 3 cups sour cream
  • 2 packs of sauce (cream sauce)
  • 2 packs of gravy
  • 300 g bacon, diced
  • 6 onions, diced (for the sauce)
  • 2 large cans of mushrooms, sliced
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 30 minutes

Make a meatball dough from the ground beef, spices, finely chopped onions, eggs, and old (soaked and squeezed) bread rolls. Form into dumplings and fry. Layer the cooked dumplings in a roasting pan. For the sauce, sauté the onions, bacon, and mushrooms one after the other (about 10-15 minutes). Mix the cream (or milk), sour cream, and the sauce packet together and pour over the onion mixture. Bring everything to a boil. Pour this sauce all over the meatballs and let it sit in the refrigerator for 24 hours. After 24 hours, place the roasting pan (with the lid on!) in the oven and bake at 200°C for about 95 minutes. Remove the lid for the last 15 minutes.
