Mushroom pan with smoked tofu

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g smoked tofu
  • 500 g mushrooms, brown mushrooms, king oyster mushrooms or seasonal and to taste
  • 2 onions
  • 200 ml soy cream (Soy Cream Cuisine)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • olive oil
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cut the tofu into approximately 1 cm pieces. Peel the onions and slice them into wedges. Cut the mushrooms into roughly equal-sized pieces or slices. Sear the tofu in olive oil and set aside. Sauté the onions in the oil until browned. Add a little more oil and sear the mushrooms until golden brown. Season with freshly ground pepper. Add the tofu back in and season with salt and soy sauce. Reduce the heat, add the cream, and heat everything through. Serve with rice.
