Chinese noodles with shrimp and chicken

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g chicken breast, or turkey or duck meat
  • 500 g shrimps and/or large prawns
  • 500 g glass noodles or wok noodles
  • 2 jars of mixed vegetables (Chinese)
  • 1 jar salsify
  • 250 ml chicken broth
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp sherry
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp Sambal Oelek, more or less to taste
  • 1 tsp spice mix (Chinese)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Can also be served with rice.

The vegetable mix includes: mung bean sprouts, sliced ​​bamboo shoots, sliced ​​water chestnuts, striped carrots, red bell peppers, and mu err mushrooms. You can also use fresh vegetables if you like. In two bowls, mix the same marinade with soy sauce, sherry, Chinese spice, starch, sugar, ginger, and sambal oelek. Place the thinly sliced ​​meat in one bowl and the drained vegetables in the other. Mix well and let marinate for 1 hour. Heat oil in a wok or pan and brown the meat. Add the vegetables and brown briefly again. Deglaze with chicken stock and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Stir in the shrimp and let stand for another 5-10 minutes. Prepare the noodles according to the package instructions, arrange on plates, and top with the chicken, vegetables, and shrimp.
