Red Garlic Spaghetti
The perfect red garlic spaghetti recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 300 g Spaghetti
- 3 liter Boiling water
- 3 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
- 4 Garlic cloves chopped
- 4 Discs Cooked ham
- 1 tablespoon Tomato paste
- 130 g Pesto Rosso
- 130 g Parmigiano Reggiano
- 130 g Green onion rings
- Cook the spaghetti al dente in boiling salted water. During this time, peel the garlic and remove the central shoot, finely dice the rest. Halve the ham lengthways and cut across into strips about 1 cm wide.
- Heat the oil in a saucepan and sauté the garlic until lightly; add the ham and fry lightly. Now add the tomato paste, fry everything briefly and then fold in the pesto. Drain the pasta and collect some of the cooking stock.
- Mix the pasta with the pesto ham, add some of the stock if necessary and serve immediately on preheated plates. Enjoy with freshly grated cheese and sprinkled with chopped herbs of your choice. I decided on a couple of green onion rings … it was delicious and I wish you a “Bon appetit” too!
