Schnitzel pizza from the tray

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 150 g mushrooms
  • 1 can of tomatoes (850 ml)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, black
  • 2 packs of sauce powder (tomato sauce) for 250 ml water each
  • 1 tsp pizza seasoning
  • 8 pork schnitzels (150g each)
  • 150 g Parmesan, grated
  • 4 slice(s) of ham, cooked (approx. 150 g)
  • 500g mozzarella

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Clean and slice the mushrooms. Puree the tomatoes and their liquid. Heat 1 tbsp of oil. Sauté the onion and garlic in it. Briefly fry the mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in the tomato puree and bring to a boil. Stir in the sauce mix and simmer for 1 minute. Season with pizza seasoning. Pat the schnitzel dry. Season with salt and pepper and fry briefly on both sides in a pan with 1-2 tbsp of olive oil. Place the schnitzel close together on a greased baking sheet and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Top with ham slices. Spread the tomato and mushroom mixture evenly over the top. Braise in a preheated oven (electric oven 175°C, fan oven 150°C) for about 1.5 hours. Drain the mozzarella and slice it. Spread on the schnitzel pizza about 15 minutes before the end of the cooking time and bake at 200°C until golden brown.
