Schorschi's Gourmet Schnitzel

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 pork schnitzels
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • Paprika powder
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 250g spaghetti
  • 150 g cheese (Emmental or Gouda), grated
  • 200 ml tomato sauce, preferably homemade
  • Water
  • Vegetable oil or lard

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Pound the schnitzels lightly, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and flour them. Dip them in the beaten egg, then coat in the breadcrumbs, pressing the coating firmly into place. Fry over moderate heat in vegetable oil or, even better, in lard, and keep warm in a casserole dish. Cook the spaghetti in plenty of salted water until al dente and spread it over the schnitzels. Pour the tomato sauce (tomato sauce works well in my recipes) over the spaghetti, sprinkle with grated cheese, and bake in the oven at 200°C for 20 minutes.
