Sweet and sour from the wok

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g pork schnitzel, in one piece
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 2 rings pineapple
  • 2 tbsp pineapple juice
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt
  • 2 bell peppers, green and red
  • 2 chili peppers
  • 25 g cashew nuts, kernels
  • 2 tbsp oil (soybean oil)
  • pepper
  • 70 ml Chinese sweet and sour sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the meat into strips. Peel and dice the onion. Mix with pineapple juice and soy sauce. Marinate the meat for 20 minutes. Cook the rice in salted water for about 20 minutes. Dice the pineapple. Clean, wash, and finely chop the bell peppers and chilies. Roast the nuts in a hot wok and remove them. Heat the oil. Brown the meat, remove it, and season with salt. Sauté the bell peppers and deglaze with the marinade. Add the meat, pineapple, nuts, and chilies to the vegetables. Let stand for another 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and sauce. Serve with rice.
