Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 300 g chicken breast fillet(s), cut into strips
- 2 spring onions, cut into strips
- 1 stalk(s) Celery, small stalk, cut into 1 cm long pieces
- 1 bell pepper(s), green
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dry sherry
- 4 cm ginger root, fresh
- 4 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 egg white
- Salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Place the meat in a bowl, add the egg white, cornstarch, and salt, and mix well. Heat the oil in a wok and fry the chicken strips over medium heat. When the meat is lightly browned, remove it and set aside. Finely slice the ginger, add the spring onions, celery, and bell peppers to the very hot oil, and fry over high heat for about 30 seconds. Return the meat to the wok, add the soy sauce and sherry, and mix well. Simmer for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Serve with rice.
