Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 handfuls of spruce shoots, or fir or pine, tender (May growth)
  • 1 liter of water
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 1 kg gelling sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

from spruce, fir, pine, an ancient recipe, refreshingly different

Wash the clean pine tips, bring to a boil with 1 liter of water, simmer for 5 minutes, and strain through a cheesecloth. Cook the jelly with preserving sugar according to the instructions and pour into jars while still hot. Tastes best cold from the refrigerator.
