little surprise
Separate the garlic cloves into cloves and peel them. Boil the cloves in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then pat dry with kitchen paper. Make a fairly thin batter from the flour, egg yolks, beer, and a little oil. Season with nutmeg and salt. Fold the stiffly beaten egg whites into the batter. Dip the cloves in the batter and fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper. Alternatively, I also dip olives, feta cheese, or small pickled corn cobs (halved) in the beer batter and fry them. Pat everything dry beforehand, otherwise it will spatter too much during frying.
