spicy Asian chicken Sabrina’s style

Wash the chicken, pat dry, and cut into strips. For the marinade, combine 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of teriyaki sauce, a little ginger powder, 1 teaspoon of sambal oelek, and 5 tablespoons of sweet and sour sauce. Marinate the meat in this mixture for about 10 minutes, or longer. In the meantime, drain the bamboo shoots. Finely slice the bell peppers. Heat the sesame oil in a pan. Then fry the chicken in the marinade until the meat is cooked through (about 5 minutes). Then add the bell peppers and bamboo shoots and fry for another 3 minutes. Then pour in the vegetable stock, soy sauce, satay sauce, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of sweet and sour sauce, and 1 tablespoon of teriyaki sauce and reduce until the desired consistency is reached. Prepare the mie noodles (or basmati rice) according to the package instructions. Serve. Caution: The satay sauce is a bit spicy. If you don’t like spicy food, you can omit the sambal oelek. You can also use more sparingly with the satay sauce. Just add more seasoning if necessary.
