Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 5 slice(s) bread(s) (small slices)
  • 200 g cocktail tomatoes or regular tomatoes
  • 6 slices of cooked ham
  • 5 eggs
  • 200 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • herb butter
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

when things need to go quickly

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat; fan-assisted ovens reportedly dry out the eggs). Brush the baking dish with butter. Spread the bread with herb butter and place it in the baking dish. Halve the cherry tomatoes and arrange them on the bread. Then quarter the ham and place them on the bread. Crack the eggs open and glide them over the ham like fried eggs. Season the eggs and finally sprinkle the grated cheese over them. Place in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes.
