Make delicious and quick cakes from nothing

Mix together all the ingredients for the dough. Pour the dough into the springform pan and form a rim of about 2-3 cm. I always do this by hand, without rolling it out. This way, it won’t be exactly the same height all over, but I find it easier than rolling it out. Pour the applesauce into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer; I always add a little cinnamon. Meanwhile, peel, quarter, and slice the apples. Place half of the sliced apples on the base, reserving the other half for later. Mix the pudding mix with a little milk or apple juice. When the applesauce is bubbling slightly, add the mixed vanilla pudding mix. Stir vigorously and, as you would when making pudding, remove the pan from the heat. Then pour the mixture onto the base. It doesn’t matter whether you let the mixture cool slightly or not; I haven’t noticed much of a difference; I find it spreads better when the mixture is warmer. Then add the rest of the sliced apples to the mixture. Now knead the crumb topping ingredients (and don’t skimp on the cinnamon) and spread it on top. Then bake the cake in the oven at approximately 160°C (convection oven) for 45-50 minutes.
