Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 250 g hazelnuts, ground or walnuts
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp rum
  • 3 m.-sized apples
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

very juicy and aromatic

Cream the butter until fluffy. Slowly add the sugar and vanilla sugar. Gradually add the eggs. Stir in the flour, baking powder, nuts, cinnamon, and cocoa powder a spoonful at a time. Peel and grate the apples, pour the rum over them, and let them sit for a short while. Carefully fold the apple mixture into the batter. Bake in a springform pan at 175°C for about 80 minutes. Dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar.
