Garlic wholegrain jasmine rice

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 cup jasmine rice, whole grain
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 2 tbsp garlic oil
  • 1 garlic clove(s), squeezed

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

One cup is equivalent to 250 ml. Wash the rice several times and drain it in a sieve. Then fry it in garlic oil and add the water and the crushed garlic clove. Simmer with the lid on for 40 minutes after boiling. If the rice isn’t quite tender enough, simply let it swell for another 5 minutes. It goes well with many fish, meat, and vegetable dishes.
