Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g rice (long grain rice)
- 4 onions
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 bell peppers, red and yellow
- 500 g tomatoes, chunky, from the can
- 4 tbsp oil
- Salt and pepper, white
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Side dish to Balkan dishes
Cook the rice in 500 ml of salted water for about 20 minutes. Heat oil in a pan. Finely dice the onion, garlic, and bell pepper and sauté in the pan. Add the tomatoes and cook in the covered pan over medium heat for 15 minutes. Stir in the rice and season with salt and pepper.
