Oriental rice with raisins and nuts

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups water
  • some salt
  • 50 g pine nuts or almond flakes
  • 75 g raisins
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • some cinnamon
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 carnation(s)
  • Allspice
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Heat oil in a pot. Add spices, raisins, nuts, and rice and toast while stirring. Deglaze with water and simmer on low heat until the rice is tender. Add a little more water if necessary. Pairs well with Arabic pork goulash.
