Vanilla crescents

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 80 g sugar
  • 170 g butter
  • 120 g almonds, ground
  • some powdered sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

Place the flour, butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and almonds in a mixing bowl and knead into a shortcrust pastry using a mixer fitted with a dough hook. Once the dough is well kneaded, refrigerate it for one hour. After the dough has been refrigerated, scoop out equal-sized pieces, ideally using a bread knife, and shape them into crescent-shaped cookies. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat) and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes until golden brown. When the croissants are done, let them cool for two minutes, then use a sieve to sprinkle the powdered sugar over the croissants.
