Sage and onion from the gas grill

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 butters
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • Sea salt, coarse
  • Pepper from the mill
  • 3 sage leaves, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Place a knob of butter on a piece of aluminum foil. Peel the onion and cut into star-shaped slices, but do not cut all the way through. Place the onion on the butter, cover with a knob of butter, and season with salt and pepper. Cut the sage leaves into thin strips and pile them on top of the onion. Fold the aluminum foil over the onion. Cook the onion on the gas grill over direct heat at the lowest setting for 40 minutes.
