Apple soup with kiwi

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g apples
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 4 kiwis

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash, quarter, and core the apples, add them to the water, and cook in a covered pot over medium heat until soft. Fit a 1-liter sieve, add the stewed apples, and push them through the sieve with a spoon. Fill with water up to one liter. Pour the apple soup back into the pot and bring to a boil on the stove. Mix the cornstarch, add it to the soup, and stir vigorously. Add the sugar and lemon juice to the soup and season to taste. Peel and slice the kiwis, and add them to the soup. Variation: If you like, you can simply replace half of the 500 ml of water with apple juice.
