Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 12 egg whites
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp butter-vanilla flavoring, alternatively 1 sachet vanilla sugar
- ½ tsp flavoring (lemon or orange peel flavoring)
- 120 g flour (whole grain)
- 180 g sugar, alternatively sweetener
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Combine egg whites with salt and beat until creamy. Stir in the flavorings, add the sugar, and then beat until stiff peaks form. Fold in the flour with a spoon, then fold in the poppy seeds. Spray or grease 12 muffin tins with baking spray and fill to the top with the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20-25 minutes. Tip: If using paper baking cups, use aluminum foil ones, as the batter sticks to the paper and is difficult to remove.
