Fruity curry lentils

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 400 g lentils, cooked
  • 2 onions
  • 1 can of tomatoes, in pieces
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp curry powder, yellow
  • 3 tbsp fruit puree (apple-mango puree or apple sauce with mango juice)
  • 50 ml cream
  • Butter or oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Roughly chop the onions and fry in butter or oil. Add the lentils and tomatoes and heat through. Stir in the cream. Finally, season with the remaining ingredients. Serve with natural yogurt, naan bread, and sag aloo, an Indian spinach and potato dish. The curry can also be used as a pepper filling, and the pepper halves can then be baked in the oven at 200°C for 30 minutes with cheese.
