Pasta with peas and cream cheese sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ onion(s)
  • 125 g bacon, diced
  • 500 g pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 250 g peas
  • 125 g cream cheese
  • 5 tbsp cream
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • Water (salt water)
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Aromat

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel and dice the onion. Cook the pasta in salted water according to the instructions. While the pasta is cooking, heat the oil. Sauté the onions, then add the bacon shortly thereafter and cook for about 4 minutes. Add the peas and cream cheese to the pan with about 3 tablespoons of the pasta water and cook for 1 minute. Season to taste with spices (pepper, aromatics, paprika) and lemon juice. Drain the pasta and let it drain. Divide among plates, toss with the sauce, and serve. Serve with fresh baguette. A glass of white wine is a good accompaniment.
