Smoked tofu meatballs

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of smoked tofu, approx. 200 g
  • 2 slices of toast
  • 1 medium-sized red onion(s), diced
  • 1 spring onion(s)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 30 g breadcrumbs
  • Salt
  • n. B. Spice(s) of your choice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

vegetarian

Coarsely grate the tofu with a vegetable grater and finely dice the bread. Mix all ingredients in a bowl and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes. Form the batter into about 5-6 meatballs and fry them in hot oil until crispy. Serve with a salad. Tip: The meatballs don’t need to cook for very long. Lightly sauté the onions before adding them to the batter. This makes them more digestible.
