Gyro pan

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • Butter for frying
  • 1 pack of gyro meat (refrigerated or frozen)
  • 2 bags of rice (125 g each)
  • ½ liter broth
  • 1 small can of peas
  • 100 g Gouda, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Heat butter in a pan and fry the gyro. Add rice and fry briefly. Pour in broth and bring to a boil. Simmer with the lid closed until the rice is tender (about 20 minutes). Add the peas shortly before the end of the cooking time. Finally, sprinkle the grated cheese over the top and let it melt.
