Children's punch

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml still water
  • 500 ml grape juice, red
  • 500 ml apple juice
  • 300 ml cherry juice
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar or 1 vanilla pod
  • 1 cinnamon stick(s)
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 carnations
  • 3 orange slices, untreated

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

for 1.8 liters

Combine the water, all the juices, the orange slices (with peel), the cinnamon stick, the star anise, the cloves, and the vanilla sugar or vanilla pod in a small saucepan. Simmer on low heat with the lid closed for 20 minutes. It’s important that the liquid doesn’t boil, as the orange slices will quickly make the punch bitter. The children’s punch tastes best when it’s left to steep for a few hours after heating, allowing the spices to develop. It can then simply be reheated before serving, but it also tastes delicious chilled.
