Mozzarella crème fraîche salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 4 balls of mozzarella
  • 250 g crème fraîche (I prefer the one with herbs)
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 4 chili peppers or red peppers
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

A small salad that can be prepared very quickly

First, put the crème fraîche in a bowl, then season with salt and pepper. It tastes perfect when it tastes slightly salty, as this is when you split the lemon and add the juice from one half. Depending on your preference, you can also squeeze in the juice from the other half. Then mix everything together a bit and put it in the fridge for a short time. Now prepare the chili peppers by cutting them open and removing all the seeds (you don’t want them to be spicy), then cut the peppers into long strips. Next, take the mozzarella balls and cut each into slices about 5 mm to 1 cm wide, which you then arrange in a baking dish. After spreading the crème fraîche mixture over the top, grate the zest from both lemon halves evenly over the mixture and place the chili strips on top, skin-side up. Let the whole thing sit in the fridge for about 20-30 minutes.
