Herb schnitzel a la Maja

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 pork schnitzels (150 g each)
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • 6 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 6 tbsp flour
  • 1 handful of mixed herbs
  • 2 pinch(s) pepper, per schnitzel
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • Fondor
  • 1 dashes Maggi
  • 4 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

First, place four plates as close together as possible. Sprinkle the flour on the first, then the eggs beaten with a dash of Maggi on the next, then the breadcrumbs with a handful of herbs, and then an empty plate onto which you later place the breaded schnitzels. Now start by seasoning the schnitzels, evenly on both sides. The schnitzels are then coated first in flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs and herb mixture. Preheat a pan to high and then reduce the temperature to medium. Fried the schnitzels one by one until evenly browned on all sides and then removed from the pan. If you have them, place the schnitzels next to each other in a roasting tin and return them to the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for another 30 minutes. After that, they will be as soft as butter. Serve with a cream sauce or white wine sauce, if possible.
