Ingredients for 2 servings:
- ½ liter meat broth
- 100 g butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 2 rolls, stale
- nutmeg
- salt and pepper

Grate the bread rolls. Pour the hot butter into a narrow, deep bowl and thoroughly mix in both eggs. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix in the crushed bread rolls until a thin paste forms, season to taste, and let stand for 10 minutes. Form dumplings and let simmer in the hot broth until cooked through (10 minutes).
