Ham croissants

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 200 g butter
  • 200 g quark
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 200 g ham, raw
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 cucumber(s) (pickle)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Quickly form the ingredients into a dough on a baking board. Flatten the dough slightly and let it rest in the refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes. Cut the ham, onion, and cucumber into very small cubes. Sauté the diced onion in oil until translucent. Add the ham and cucumber, mix everything well, then chill the mixture. Roll out the dough thinly and shape it into a round shape using a cake ring. Use a pastry wheel to cut it into 8 equal pieces. Top each with some of the filling and shape it into a croissant. Whisk the egg yolk with water, brush the croissants with it, and bake.
