Corn and garlic cream soup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 ½ onions
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil
  • 1 ½ small cans of corn
  • 50 ml cream
  • 100 ml water
  • broth
  • pepper
  • garlic powder
  • Parsley or chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Finely dice the onion and garlic and sauté lightly in oil or butter. Add the corn and purée with the cream and water using an immersion blender. Add the cream slowly, a little at a time; otherwise, it might burn, which is carcinogenic. Season with broth, pepper, and garlic powder. If desired, let it stand for 10 minutes to enhance the garlic flavor. Stir in finely chopped parsley or chives, if desired.
