Cabbage pot with minced beef and tomatoes

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 large cans of tomatoes, peeled
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 800 g potatoes
  • 1 white cabbage
  • 2 onions
  • ½ liter beef stock
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • e.g. lemon(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Cut the white cabbage into eighths, remove the stalk, and cut into strips or chunks. Heat oil in a pan, fry the diced onions and brown sugar. Gradually add the cabbage and fry until well browned. Add the ground beef and fry until well browned, then add the sliced ​​potatoes. Add the tomatoes, roughly chop them, and add the beef stock and water until completely covered. Then simmer for about 40 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, caraway seeds, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
