Goulash with gnocchi

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 400 g pork goulash or beef goulash
  • 2 onions
  • 3 bell peppers
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 300 ml broth
  • 300 ml tomatoes, pureed
  • 200 g mushrooms
  • 1 can of corn, approx. 330 g
  • 400 g gnocchi
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • possibly sauce thickener

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes

Pat the goulash dry, season, and brown in a large pot. Peel the onions, wash the peppers, and core them. Clean the mushrooms and chop everything finely. Add them to the pot with the meat and cook. Stir in the tomato paste and brown. Add the broth and passata and simmer until the meat is tender. Drain the corn and add it with the gnocchi. Simmer for another 10 minutes. If the goulash is still too runny, you can thicken it with a little sauce thickener.
