  • ½ tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • n. B. grains to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

makes about 15 pieces

Place the flour, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl and mix. Make a well in the center of the flour, crumble in the fresh yeast, and add the oil. Slowly add the lukewarm water, stirring continuously with a fork or spoon. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm, dark place until it has doubled in size. This takes about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 220°C (top/bottom heat). Knead the dough thoroughly and add a little flour to make it less sticky. Form about 15 small rolls and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Cover the dough again and let it rise for about 10-15 minutes. Beat the egg and brush it onto the rolls. Sprinkle the rolls with seeds, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and cheese, if desired. You can, of course, let your imagination run wild here. Bake the rolls in a hot oven at 220 °C for about 15 – 20 minutes.
