Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g cheese (Gouda)
  • 1 kg flour
  • 2 packets of dry yeast
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 can of fried onions
  • ¾ liter of lukewarm water

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Cut the Gouda into small cubes, mix thoroughly with the remaining ingredients in a large bowl, and knead thoroughly. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet and place the dough in the shape of a molehill in the center of the sheet. Bake for about 1 hour in an oven preheated to 200°C. Place a cup of water under the sheet to prevent the bread from drying out. This recipe can be modified to taste by adding bacon bits, paprika, chili, etc.
