Axel's 'Holzhacker' – Grilled steaks

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 steak(s) , sirloin steaks
  • 3 large potatoes, waxy
  • 2 onions
  • 1 small can of kidney beans or chili beans (approx. 212ml)
  • 1 small can of corn, approx. 425ml
  • 1 class jar of tomato peppers, cut into strips, approx. 370ml
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 250 g cocktail tomatoes
  • 6 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp mustard, hot
  • 4 tbsp vinegar (white wine vinegar)
  • 200g tzatziki
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the steaks and pat dry. Peel the onions and slice into rings. Clean the potatoes and pre-cook in their skins. Drain the beans, corn, and peppers. Clean, wash, and slice the spring onions. Halve the cherry tomatoes. Mix the onion rings, oil, and mustard together, and season with salt and pepper. Toss the steaks with the marinade, place in aluminum grill trays, and cook on the hot grill. Wrap the pre-cooked potatoes in aluminum foil and finish cooking on the grill. Mix the drained vegetables, spring onions, and cherry tomatoes with oil and vinegar. Serve with the steaks and jacket potatoes with tzatziki.
