with potatoes, simply prepared

Combine flour, sugar, margarine, eggs, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and rum flavoring in a bowl. Mash about 10 potatoes from the previous day and add them to the batter. Add water until the batter is nice and smooth. Mineral water makes it more airy. If the batter isn’t runny enough, simply add a little more water. Ladle the batter into the waffle iron and wait until the waffles are done. This amount is enough for about 25-30 waffles. They’re also easy to freeze, and they taste wonderful the next day with jam or hot cherries.
