Pak Choi
The perfect pak choi recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
- 2 chopped Garlic cloves
- 2 young minds Pak choi
- 1 tablespoon Soy sauce dark
- 1 tablespoon Water
- 2 Pinches Sugar
- 2 Pinches Vegetable broth powder
- 2 Pinches Chilli flakes
- 1 Bay leaf
- 50 ml Broth
- Preparation: cut the pak choi heads in half, peel the garlic cloves, remove the green center and dice the rest very finely; Mix the soy sauce, water, sugar, vegetable stock powder and chilli flakes in a small container (cup).
- Preparation 2: heat the oil in a pan and add the garlic cubes, fry for 30 seconds (no longer) and immediately put the quartered pak choi in with the cut surface. Even for only 30 seconds.
- Now add the spice mixture and the bay leaf and let sizzle for a minute over high heat. Pour in about 50 ml of stock, put a lid on, turn down the heat and let the vegetables cook gently for about 3 to 4 minutes (they should still retain some bite).
- Remove the bay leaf, sprinkle a few “drops” of sesame oil and freshly ground pepper over the vegetables and serve with the spicy stock from the pan.
- Today I just had a mashed potato with it, because the Pak Choi was so deliciously spicy and exotic.
