Western Tray with Tandoori Chicken Steak and Mushrooms

The perfect western tray with tandoori chicken steak and mushrooms recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the western sheet:

  • 0,5 Hokkaido pumpkin
  • 2 Chicken steaks
  • 400 g Mushrooms
  • 2 El Oil
  • 0,5 tsp Salt
  • 0,5 tsp Pepper
  • 0,5 tsp Paprika
  • 0,5 tsp Curry
  • 0,5 tsp Gyros spice
  • 0,25 tsp Tandoori Rub (spice mix)

For the chicken:

  • 1 tsp Seasoned Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 0,5 up to 1 tsp Tandoori rub
  1. Wash the pumpkin, cut in half and scrape out the core with a spoon. Cut the pumpkin flesh into pieces of the same size. It is best to keep the remaining half in the vegetable compartment of the refrigerator.
  2. Peel the kohlrabi and cut it into about the same thickness as the pumpkin.
  3. Put both in a large bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of oil and stir thoroughly so that everything is covered by a fine film.
  4. Now season to your personal taste and shake it up again and again so that everything is evenly covered. I had: – salt – pepper – curry – paprika – gyros spice – tandoori rub (be careful!)
  5. Preheat the oven to 200C convection. Place the vegetables on a baking sheet with baking paper and cook for about 30-40min. bake, turn every now and then.
  6. Put the chicken in a freezer bag and add a little oil (1 teaspoon). Now season with salt, tandoori rub, pepper and close the bag tightly. Knead vigorously until everything is well covered and in the meantime store in the bag in the refrigerator.
  7. Brush the mushrooms and cut into quarters.
  8. Approx. 15 minutes before the end of the baking process, set up a pan with 1 tablespoon of oil and sear the chicken on both sides. Then wrap in aluminum foil and set aside.
  9. Now fry the mushrooms in the meat stock and season with herb salt and pepper. Shortly before the end, push the mushrooms aside and add the chicken again, fry for another 2-3 minutes with the lid closed.
  10. Serve with the western vegetables and enjoy :-).
  11. For Wwler, the vegetables have 3 pp due to the oil, the meat approx 3-4 pp (depending on the size). Then just credit the oil. Good Appetite. 🙂
