Custard Crumble Cake

The perfect custard crumble cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • For the dough:
  • 200 g Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 80 g Sugar
  • 80 g Cold butter
  • 2 Knife tips Baking powder
  • For the filling:
  • 2 packet Vanilla pudding
  • 750 Milliliters Milk
  • 80 g Sugar
  • 1 Can Mandarin oranges 175 gr.
  • For the sprinkles:
  • 100 g Flour
  • 60 g Cold butter
  • 50 g Sugar
  1. Pour the mandarins into a colander and drain.
  2. Mix the flour with the baking powder and make a shortcrust pastry. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in foil and place in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  3. Cook the pudding according to the instructions but only with 750 milliliters of milk and let it cool down a little.
  4. In a bowl made of flour, sugar and the cold butter, best to make crumble by hand.
  5. Roll out the dough on the bottom of the prepared springform pan and pull up a small edge. Pour the vanilla pudding onto the batter and distribute it. Spread the drained mandarins on the pudding and sprinkle with the sprinkles.
  6. Place the cake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees (top – bottom heat) and bake for about 45 – 50 minutes. Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool down for 15 minutes. Now remove the edge of the springform pan and let the cake cool down.
