Alsatian Cream Cake
The perfect alsatian cream cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Shortcrust pastry base
- 210 g Flour
- 120 g Butter
- 60 g Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 Pr Salt
- 0,5 teaspoon Baking powder
Covering
- 2 cups Creme fraiche Cheese
- 500 g Cream
- 175 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Pr Salt
- 1 packet Vanilla or cream flavored custard powder
- 250 g Cream curd
- Knead all the ingredients for the shortcrust pastry together and chill for about 30 minutes, then roll out and place in a greased and crumbled dish (28 or 30 cm), pulling up a small edge.
- Mix the solid ingredients for the topping, then stir in the quark, creme fraiche and cream …. the mixture is very liquid !!!! Carefully pour the whole thing into the mold and bake at 180-200 ° C for about 60 minutes ……. chopsticks test !!
