Hip Steak Stroganoff
The perfect hip steak stroganoff recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 200 g Mushrooms
- 1 Pickled cucumber
- 1 Onion
- 400 g Beef rump steak
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 25 g Butter
- 2 tbsp Brandy
- 150 ml Cream 10% fat
- 2 tbsp Tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 0,5 bunch Chopped parsley
- Clean and quarter the mushrooms. Finely dice the pickled cucumber. Peel and finely dice the onion. Salt and pepper the beef rump steaks. Heat the oil in a pan, fry the steaks on each side for about 3-4 minutes over high heat, remove and keep warm.
- Put the butter, mushrooms and onions in the pan and fry for about 2 minutes. Deglaze with brandy, pour in the cream and let simmer for about 1 minute. Stir in the cucumber cubes, ketchup and mustard, season with salt and pepper, then fold in the parsley. Arrange the steaks with the sauce on plates and serve. I had mini dumplings with it.
