Lamb As We Like It

The perfect lamb as we like it recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 700 g Lamb
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika spice
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 6 Juniper berry
  • 4 Allspice grains
  • 2 Stems Rosemary
  • 300 ml Sour cream
  • 400 ml Lamb stock
  1. Wash the lamb, pat dry, rub with salt, pepper and paprika.
  2. Heat some fat in a roaster and sear the meat on all sides, remove.
  3. Peel the onion and garlic into thin slices and fry them in the roaster until translucent.
  4. Now add the sour cream and reduce it until a brown brew is obtained.
  5. Put the roast back in the roaster with the lamb stock, add the spices.
  6. Now put it in the warm oven and cover it for about 2 hours.
  7. Remove the meat and let it rest for a while, strain the sauce through a sieve and season it if necessary and who would like to thicken something with cornstarch.
  8. Cut the meat into slices and serve on a plate with boiled potatoes, beans and sauce
