Basic Recipe for Frying Tofu Until Crispy

The perfect basic recipe for frying tofu until crispy recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Spices at will:

  • 2 tbsp Food starch
  • Salt pepper
  • Sesame oil or other frying oil
  • Curry powder
  • Sweet paprika powder
  • Gomasio
  • Sesame
  • Chili
  1. Do not pat the tofu dry and cut into bite-sized cubes. Put the cornstarch in a freezer bag and add any spices. Mix well until the tofu is coated all over with cornstarch.
  2. Then heat the oil in a pan and fry the tofu cubes in it. They should be golden brown all around. Drain on kitchen paper and use as you like.
  3. The tofu cubes go great with salads or as an addition to soups. If you have tofu in a dish, simply fry the tofu as described above and then add it to the dish at the end and warm it up slightly. That way it stays nice and crispy.
