Poppy Seed Sheet Cake

The perfect poppy seed sheet cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 100 g Margarine
  • 400 g Poppy
  • 100 g Semolina
  • 2 Pc. Egg
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 500 ml Milk or water
  1. flour. Knead the baking powder, sugar, butter, and egg into a smooth dough
  2. Roll out on a baking sheet lined with baking paper 24 x 38 cm
  3. Bring the milk and sugar to the boil and let the semolina swell in it, then stir in the poppy seeds and cinnamon
  4. When the mixture has cooled down a bit, stir in 2 eggs and put the whole thing on the bottom
  5. Bake at 180 degrees on the middle rack for 40 minutes
