Poppy Seed Sheet Cake with Plums
The perfect poppy seed sheet cake with plums recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- For the dough:
- 250 g Soft butter
- 100 g Sugar white
- 6 Free range eggs
- 150 g Yogurt
- 1 packet Poppy seed baking
- 75 g Food starch
- 0,5 packet Baking powder
- 300 g Flour
- For covering:
- 1 kilogram Plums
- 100 g Sliced almonds
- In a mixing bowl, beat the butter, sugar and eggs until frothy. Now stir in the yogurt and the poppy seeds. Mix the flour with the baking powder and cornstarch, sieve over it and stir in.
- Wash and stone the plums.
- Now spread the dough onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Spread the plums on the dough with a little space and sprinkle with the almond flakes.
- Place the baking tray in the oven preheated to 175 degrees (upper-lower heat) and bake for approx. 45 – 50 minutes.
