Meatloaf with Dumplings and Vegetables

The perfect meatloaf with dumplings and vegetables recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Mixed minced meat
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Chopped onion
  • 1 disc Toast
  • 400 g Vegetables
  • 1 packet Dumpling dough
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Sweet paprika
  • Thyme
  • 2 packet Meatloaf sauce

  1. Cut the onions into cubes, cut the toast bread into cubes and soak in milk for 5 minutes.
  1. Put the minced meat in a bowl and add the onions, toast and egg. Knead everything well and season to taste with salt, pepper and paprika. Then cover in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  1. Shape the roasting dough into an oblong box (like a cake tin), sprinkle some thyme over it and put it in a greased roaster at 200 degrees for 1 hour on the middle rack in the oven. Brush with oil every 20 minutes
  1. After 40 minutes, add the water for the dumplings. put the vegetables in a saucepan and let them simmer slowly. When the water boils add the dumplings and cook for 15-20 minutes.
  1. 5 minutes before the roast is ready, take a saucepan of 1/2 liter of cold water and add the sauce pulverizer and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  1. Now roast vegetables and dumplings on the plate, add a little sauce and your Sunday dish is ready.
