Yellow-green slime drink (with a shot)
- First mix the juice and mineral water.
- Chop the apples and kiwis and puree them with a blender.
- Add the honey and the puree to the juice and you’re done! The pureed fruit and honey create a slimy consistency that would even scare celebrities around the jungle. Tip: If you like it strong, you can add a dash of vodka. 🙂
Jungle fruit
- For the jungle fruit you need a nice plate to serve. Then cut the banana lengthways so that you can drape both halves next to each other as a “trunk”.
- The trunks now have to be incised at regular intervals to create the palm tree look. The kiwifruit must now be peeled and cut into slices.
- The slices serve as palm leaves. The clementines, freed from the shell and divided, result in the sandy subsoil – the jungle decoration is ready!
Jungle hot dog snakes
- For the jungle hot dog snakes, wrap one sausage each with puff pastry.
- To shape the eyes, press the peppercorns into the batter. With a triangular piece of paprika, the tongue succeeds very easily and only needs to be placed in a pre-cut slot in the snake’s “mouth”.
- So that the snakes get a nice browning, you can spread the beaten egg onto the dough with a pastry brush. Put the whole thing in the oven for about 25 minutes – the jungle snack is ready! Tip: Check the color of the snakes every now and then so that they don’t burn!
Grape caterpillars on cheese maggots
- Line up the grapes one after the other on the skewers until the skewer is no longer visible.
- Put the cheese on a plate, as a “maggot bed”.
- With the tomato paste you can put two dots on each of the grape caterpillars as eyes – and that’s it!
Spider eggs
- Hard-boil the eggs and let them cool. Then peel and cut in half. Place on a plate and add a dollop of mayonnaise.
- Halve the olives and place them on the mayo blob.
- Now cut the remaining olives into strips and place them on the eggs as spider legs, eight legs per spider egg – done! Tip: the eggs taste even better if they are seasoned with salt and pepper!
Octopus sausages
- Cut the hot dog sausages in half crosswise and cut the ends crosswise twice up to the middle – depending on how many tentacles the octopus should have.
- Then put the sausages in a pot of boiling water so that the animals can stretch out their tentacles.
- Then get it out of the water, prick your eyes with a toothpick, stick a clove in (attention: don’t eat!) And you’re done!
