Pickled Pear Wedges in Caramel Vanilla Sauce

The perfect pickled pear wedges in caramel vanilla sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • Pears
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 3 piece Lemons untreated
  • Cinnamon bark
  • Vanilla pod
  • 4 piece Cloves
  1. Caramelize the sugar in a large saucepan. Pour 3 liters of water on top and bring to the boil. Squeeze the lemons and add them with the cloves. Peel the pears and pour them into the glass. Depending on the size of the glass, add 1/4 vanilla pod and a small piece of cinnamon bark (be careful, not too much!). Pour in the stock, close the glass and boil down for approx. 20 minutes.
