Nut Spaetzle
The perfect nut spaetzle recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Spaetzle dough
- 250 g Flour
- 100 g Ground hazelnuts
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 3 Eggs
- 130 ml. Water
For cooking the spaetzle
- Salt water
Besides that
- 1 Onion
- 1 El. Butter
- 2 El. Rapeseed oil
- Put all ingredients in a bowl and stir / mix the dough until it bubbles. Then let it rest for 15 minutes and stir again briefly.
- Bring salted water to the boil in a large saucepan and add the spaetzle to the water with a spaetzle grater. Not all at once. Always cook in portions, as soon as the spaetzle floats on the surface, remove with a skimmer and place in a bowl.
- When all the spaetzle are cooked, peel and dice the onion. Heat the oil with the butter in a pan and fry the onion until golden brown.
- Put the spaetzle in the pan with the onions and toss through once.
